Do you have a signature that you like to use when sending emails? It’s so easy to set up your own custom HTML signature in Apple Mail. Here is how to add an HTML email signature.
On your Mac, with Apple Mail open >> select Preferences
Create a new Signature
Create an empty Signature
Close Apple Mail
Turn off / Close Apple Mail
Open Library in Finder
In the Finder Navigation (top of the screen), click on Go, while pressing “Option“; Library will appear. Clicking on the Library list item.
Open mailsignature file
In the Library folder, click on Mail >>V7 (or V8 depending on your OS version) >> MailData >> Signatures >> file ending with .mailsignature
Add your HTML Signature
Open in mail signature file TextEdit
Remove unnecessary code, adding your HTML signature file between the opening and closing tags.
Lock, Save, Quit Apple Mail
Lock the file + Save. Quit apple mail
Re-open Apple Mail and test your signature.
These steps do not carry over if you are using iCloud. You will need to redo these steps on each of your apple computers.
