Contact Form 7 is an easy-to-use plugin that allows you to create forms quickly and easily on any WordPress site. However, it’s not uncommon for these types of plugins to fail due to incompatibility issues or spam attacks. This blog post will show you how to make sure your contact form is working properly and what you can do if something goes wrong so that your message gets through!\n\n\nHere a quick guide on how to fix CF7 error messages.\n\n\nContact Form 7 plugin has three error types:\n\n\n\nYellow\nOrange\nRed\n\n\n\nYou can find the meaning of each error message below.\n\n\nYellow Error\n\n\nA Yellow error tells you there is a form validation error.\n\n\nMisconfiguration leads to mail delivery failure or other troubles. Validate your contact forms now\n\n\nError Message:\n\n\n\n“Misconfiguration leads to mail delivery failure or other troubles. Validate your contact forms now.”\n\n\n\nSolution:\n\n\n\nGo to your WordPress admin dashboard.\nClick on the “Contact Forms” button.\nSelect on the “validate form now” button.\n\n\n\nValidate Configuration\n\n\nValidate Configuration Complete\n\n\nOrange Error\n\n\nThe orange error tells us that your form isn’t sending because of spam issues.\n\n\nError Message:\n\n\n\n“There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”\n\n\n\nSolution:\n\n\n\nGo to the “Contact” tab.\nClick on integration.\nSelect “remove keys.”\nGo to the Google ReCaptcha page.\nSign in and create site ReCaptcha keys for your website (choose reCaptcha V2).\nAdd the new V2 site keys to the Contact Form\n\n\n\nreCaptcha\n\n\nRed Error\n\n\nThe red error tells us that your website hosting\/server is blocking WordPress from CF7 sending emails.\n\n\nError:\n\n\n\n“There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”\n\n\n\nSolution: Install a SMTP Plugin\n\n\n\nInstall WP Mail SMTP plugin or Mailgun plugin. These plugins help to fix the mail function or php mail sending error.\n\n\n\nMailgun API\n\n\nStill not working?\n\n\nDeactivate any caching plugins (WP-Rocket, W3TC etc…) on your website, re-test.\n\n\nGravity Forms\n\n\nI strongly recommend using Gravity Forms instead of CF7; it has a better GUI, has more advanced features, and is easier to use.\n\n\nThe above information should help you get your message through and working again.
